GRANBURY — Joan Elizabeth Noguera, 89, a Granbury resident for 23 years, passed away Tuesday, July 7, 2015, in Grapevine.
Funeral: 11 a.m. Saturday, July 18, at St. Frances Cabrini Catholic Church, 2301 Acton Hwy., Granbury, with luncheon and visitation to follow.
Rosary: 7 p.m. Friday, July 17, at Wiley Funeral Home, with visitation to follow.
Burial: Monday, July 27, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Arrive at noon at the administration building for check in. Burial will be in the columbarium at 12:30 p.m.
Memorials: Donations may be made to Pecan Plantation Fire and Emergency.
Mrs. Noguera was born May, 20, 1926, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Carl and Beatrice Myers Stiegler. She married Gilbert James Noguera, March 4, 1946, in Philadelphia and they lived in Pennsylvania, California and Texas.
Joan was very artistic. She painted and crafted continually having a new project in the works. Shopping was her favorite sport. She was very involved in church and community over the years. She loved to meet new people and visit new places.
Everywhere she went she made new friends. She loved to talk and was the life of the party. Her family and friends were always her primary concerns. She found much joy in each of their achievements and looked forward to celebrating each and every event.
She was preceded in death by her parents; sister, Glore Ellis; and a son, Steven Carl Noguera.
Survivors: Husband, Gilbert Noguera of Granbury; sons, Ronald James Noguera of Riverside, Calif., and Gary David Noguera and wife, Debra, of Southlake; grandchildren, Gray Noguera of Lubbock, Zachary Noguera of Chino Hills, Calif., Jenna Noguera of Frisco, Treanne Schutt of Flower Mound, Travis Wheeler of Grapevine, Kimberly Wheeler of Keller; sister, Carol Lewis of Sacramento, Calif.
