Joe Ann was born January 13, 1929, to Andrew & Ruby Bishop McClure. Andrew was a dairyman who owned dairies in Dallas, Arlington, and Krum. Joe Ann graduated high school in Krum where she was a star player in both basketball and volleyball.
Joe Ann moved to Fort Worth where she met the love of her life, Wilburn Sladovnik. They married June 30, 1950 and were inseparable. Children soon followed, Fred, Donna, and Kenneth. Joe Ann and Wilburn built a cabin at Possum Kingdom Lake that was their own paradise. They loved to fish and vacation there with their family and friends. Besides fishing, her hobbies included gardening, canning, baking pies, decorating cakes, painting, crocheting, quilting, and collecting antiques. Joe Ann had a generous and loving heart. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren along with a close extended family and many friends. All will miss her.
