GRANBURY — Donald Joe Nabours, 81, passed away Thursday, Aug. 25, 2016.
Service: 11 a.m. Monday, August 29, 2016, at Wiley Funeral Home.
Interment: 3 p.m. Monday at Montague County Cemetery, Montague.
Visitation: 4 to 6 p.m. Sunday, August 28, 2016, at the funeral home.
Joe was born Feb. 11, 1935 in Montague to Clarence and Della Fenoglio Nabours. He married Myrna Loy Dowis in Bowie. They were married for 59 years. Joe served in the U.S. Army and owned and operated Joe’s Auto Shop. He was a hardworking, loving husband, father, son and brother. Joe was dedicated to his business with his children helping in the office and shop. They enjoyed family nights watching movies on the projector. He enjoyed cooking his famous pecan pie and potatoes, okra and onion dish that was famous with the family. Joe was preceded in death by his sister, Mattie Belle Adkins.
Survivors: Wife, Myrna Nabours; son, Ricky Nabours, daughters, Lisa Kimmell, Sheryl and husband, Billy Moresco; grandchildren, Dusty Kimmell, Landri Kimmell, Degan Moresco; brothers, William “Billy” Nabours and Jack Nabours; sister, Norma Davis; many nieces, nephews and cousins.
