John C. Pruitt

November 21, 1932 - March 24, 2016

John C. Pruitt, retired Army sergeant first class, passed away Thursday, March 24, 2016.

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, March 30, in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal with military honors will be at 1 p.m. at Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.

Sgt. 1st Class Pruitt retired May 31, 1973, with 25 years of honorable service including Korea and Vietnam.

He was preceded in death by two wives and a companion. “He never met a stranger.”

John is survived by four children, two brothers, 10 grandchildren, four great-grandchildren, and another expected soon.
