John Derrell Alexander, 84, passed away Monday, Sept. 19, 2011, in Granbury.
Funeral: 2:00 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home. Burial: West End Cemetery in Stephenville. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Mr. Alexander was born May 5, 1927, in Stephenville, to John Earl Alexander and Ruby McMurray Alexander. He married Vivian Marie Derrick, April 5, 1957, in Weatherford. John served in the U.S. Navy during World War II. He worked in the dental supply industry retiring in 1977 and moving to Granbury. He was a member of Granbury First United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Ruby Alexander; brothers, Delmon Alexander, Jack Alexander; and sister, Myrle Holcomb.
Survivors: Wife, Vivian Alexander; son, James Alexander; step-son, Troy Holder and wife, Ruth.
