John Bertva

GRANBURY — John T. Bertva, 80, a retired U.S. Air Force captain, passed away Saturday, Feb. 7, 2015.
Service: 10:30 a.m. Thursday at Granbury Baptist Church. Interment: 2 p.m. Thursday in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation: 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
John was born April 29, 1934, in Mt. Clare, Ill., to Lad and Cathaleen Granger Bertva and they preceded him in death. He married Juletta Hileman in 1984 in San Antonio. John was a retired U.S. Air Force captain and a mechanical engineer. He was a member of Granbury Baptist Church.
Survivors: Wife Judy Bertva of Granbury; daughters, Stephanie Savage of Georgia, Michele Toney of Bedford; grandsons, Tanner Savage of Utah, Mathew Toney of Bedford; brother, Don Bertva of Granbury; niece, Wendy Brawner; aunt, Mary Granger; and numerous cousins.
