Joline Stowe Jett, 69, passed away Thursday, March 23, 2017 at her home.
A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, March 28, 2017, at Johnson Station Cemetery in Arlington. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Biggers Funeral Home.
Joline was born to Kathleen and “Shorty” Stowe in Fort Worth on April 6, 1947. In her younger years, Joline was an avid horseback rider until suffering a severe injury from a fall. The injury never stopped her love of animals.
Joline was very active in helping our Veterans. She has been a Life Member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary 5617 with over 40 years of service including serving as Past President of District 21 Auxiliary.
Her favorite projects were helping Veterans and animals in need. She was always ready to lend a helping hand.
She was a loyal friend to the people she cared for and had no tolerance for those who liked to keep issues stirred up. Joline will be greatly missed by those who knew and loved her best.
Joline was preceded in death by her parents, Lawrence and Kathleen Stowe; and sons, Dwayne Scarborough and Darrell Jett.
Survivors include her husband, Louis J. Castillo, three grandchildren, and seven great-grandchildren.
