Mr. Acosta was born October 7, 1933 in Cabo Rojo, Puerto Rico.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 6 p.m. on Sunday followed by funeral services beginning at 6 p.m.

Mr. Acosta is survived by his children: Maria “Kitty” Acosta, Aramis “Porty” Acosta, Dennis Acosta, Manuel “Manuelito” Acosta; brothers and sisters: Ferdinand Acosta, Fafi Acosta, Amina “Tita” Acosta-Gawron, Efrain Acosta, Nellie Acosta, Louie Acosta, Monserrate “Marty” Acosta, Dolores “Vickie” Acosta; grandchildren: Tonya Acosta, Jonathan Acosta, Jeramis Acosta, Christian Acosta, Kristen Acosta, Cindy Acosta, Krystal Rodriguez, Manuel “Manuelito” Acosta; great-grandchildren: Amiyah Cannon, Maliyah Cannon, Jonathan Malik Cannon, and Elijah Acosta.
