Joseph (Joe) Taylor Casey, age 54, of Granbury, Texas, was called home too soon on February 5, 2021. He was born April 6, 1966 in Dallas, Texas.

Joe was predeceased in death by his parents, Coy Ray Casey and Eron Lee Dodson Casey, of Grand Prairie, Texas, in-laws Daniel W. Sifferd and Luada J. Sifferd of Dallas, Texas.

Following his graduation from Grand Prairie High School in 1984, Joe went to serve in the United States Air Force. Joe began his career in the aircraft industry and later worked in Information Technology Services. Most recently he worked as a Project Manager with Verizon.

Joe is survived by his wife, Lori Ann Casey, of Granbury, Texas, stepdaughters Jennifer Lynn Carpenter and fiancé Cyrus Yip of Dallas, Texas, and Elizabeth Ann Carpenter and boyfriend James Cavanaugh of Dallas, Texas, sister-in-law Karen Schmidt her husband David their children Doug and Kristin all of Midland, Texas, numerous extended family and friends.
Joe married the love of his life, Lori Ann Sifferd Casey, September 21, 2017 at Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas, Nevada. Joe was a loving husband, stepfather, and friend to many. Everyone who knew Joe loved him.

Joe loved his dogs as children. He lost his beloved toy poodle, Dillon in 2018, loved he and Lori’s Weimaraner, Fergie, and the newest member of the family another toy poodle, Jax, who just turned two.

Joe was an avid sports fan. He was a huge fan of Texas Longhorn football, The Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Mavericks and Dallas Stars. Joe always wanted to sit on the glass at a Stars Game which he and Lori were able to do January 27, 2020.

In addition to sports, he loved to cook with Lori, golf and go fishing with his good friends. He will truly be missed by many, especially his wife and stepdaughters whom he treated as if they were his own. We all love you Joe, you left us too soon.
