Joy Lynn Williams Ross, 69, passed away Sunday, September 22, 2013.
Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday, October 1, in Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.

Joy Lynn Williams was born August 24, 1944, in Fort Worth to Joe E. and Lottie L. Williams. She married John Burns “Burnie” Ross on October 26, 1963.
Mrs. Ross was a nurse for 30 years. She worked at the Fort Worth State School for 19 years and for Ben Hogan Sports Therapy for 6 1/2 years before retirement.
Joy was a truly good soul and a fun-loving person. She loved her church, was very generous, loved to shop and loved buying presents for her family. She enjoyed travel and had enjoyed a number of trips with her family and special travel companions. Her love for her family knew no bounds.
Joy was preceded in death by her husband of 46 years, her parents, her brother, James “Jimmy” Williams, and foster daughter, Tina Marshall Ross.
She is survived by her daughters, Cristen Ross and Catherine Harrison and husband, Curtis; brothers, Joe E. Williams Jr. and wife, Joyce, Johnny Williams and wife, Jo; sister, Donna Burton and husband, Carl; granddaughters, Jessica Ross, Erica Ferrell and husband, Daniel; grandsons, Raymond Honeysett and wife, Veronica, Johnathan Ross and Alex Bruton; great-grandchildren, Alexis, Breanna and Raymond; sister-in-law, Virginia Ross; and a large extended family.
