Joyce Carver, 84, passed away January 26, 2021 in Granbury, Texas. A celebration of life service will be held on Tuesday, February 2, 2021 at 11:00 am at Wiley Funeral Home.

Joyce was born March 16, 1936 to Steve and Lena Scarbrough Pruitt. Joyce married Don Carver and they have been married for 64 years. Joyce was a democratic party supporter and served as democratic party chair for many years. She was beautiful inside and out. She was a basketball star and followed sports all her life. She worked at NASA when Apollo 12 went to the moon. She worked as a funeral assistant for Wiley Funeral Home for many years. Joyce was very hospitable and loved to entertain. She was loving and generous, but would fight to the end for her loved ones. Her favorites desserts were pecan pie and red velvet cake.

Joyce is survived by her husband of 64 years: Don Carver; sons: Rick Carver and wife Pamela, Stan Carver; grandchildren: Whit Brock, Wesley Brock, Chance Carver, Cache Carver, Samuel Carver and wife Brenna, Sheyenne Carver, Callen Carver, Sidney Carver, Susannah Carver, and Reins Carver; 12 great grandchildren; sister: Darlene.
