Julia was born on January 5, 1921 in Brushy, Texas to Neal and Georgia Chapman. She was a member of the Brushy Baptist Church. She married William Bowman Cherry on September 19, 1938. They were married for 60 years and enjoyed living on their farm in Tolar, Texas. They were blessed with four children. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother.
Julia was preceded in death by husband: William Bowman Cherry, son: Norman G. Cherry, daughter: Martha Ann Steinbarger, and brother: Ernest Glen Chapman.
Julia was survived by daughters: Velma Cole and Neila Norris, both of Tolar, 20 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren, 27 great great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
