June Gibson

GRANBURY — June Gibson, 85, passed away Thursday, May 26, 2016 in Granbury. Private family service. Public visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Wiley Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Youth of Long Creek Baptist Church.
June was born June 11, 1930 in Granbury to Charlie and Lillie Belle Purselley Durant. She married Clayton Gibson on Jan. 11, 1946 in Granbury. June was a member of Long Creek Baptist Church and loved her church family. She always had a smile on her face and enjoyed being with family and friends. June was preceded in death by her parents; her husband on Oct. 25, 2011; daughter, Dorothy Gale Heine; brother, James O. Durant; and sister, Juanita Lane.
Survivors: Daughter, Linda Sue and husband, Mark Brothers; son, Wendell Norman and wife, Barbara Gibson; grandchildren, Mark Paul Jr. and Sharon Brothers, Audra and Phillip Kelly, Karla and Donovan Riddle, Jason and Kelly Gibson, Wendy and Eric Farrell, Matthew and Alissa Gibson, Donnie and Ann Heine, Donna and Lee Monroe, Jodi and Sonnie Black; 23 great grandchildren; two great great grandchildren; sister, Martha Lewis; nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family would like to thank the staff of Harbor Lakes for all the loving care they gave to our mother. She considered them family.
