J.W. Doyle, 90, a loving husband and father, passed away Sunday, May 3, 2015 near Azle.
A graveside Service will be held at 1:00 p.m. Thursday at Ash Creek Cemetery in Azle.
J.W. was born in Sentinel, Oklahoma and honorably served in both the United States Army and Air Force. He lived in the Fort Worth area most of his life with exception of 11 years spent in East Texas. A career in civil service includes over 25 years with the Fort Worth Fire Department and 10 years at the Red River Army Depot in East Texas.
J.W. served the Azle community as owner/operator of several businesses, a full service gas station, record store and game room, general store in Briar, a liquor store and convienience store and moving business in Fort Worth. He loved to catfish, was a Dallas Cowboy fan, and enjoyed classic country music. He loved cattle ranching, his garden and had a great sense of humor. He was generous to a fault, always had a big smile and a twinkle in his eyes, and was warm and welcoming to all. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Mr.Doyle was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Earlene in March of 2014. He was the youngest of 5 children and was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
He is survived by his children, Roger Doyle and wife Rosemary of Weatherford, Rhonda Thomas of Keller, Randal Doyle of Azle, Raymond Doyle and wife Krista of Azle; 8 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.
