GRANBURY — Kenneth J. “Muzzey” Edwards, 92, joined our Lord in Heaven, Tuesday, Apr. 29, 2014.
Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. Saturday, May 3, 2014, at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Fort Worth. Visitation with family and friends will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 1, 2014, at Wiley Funeral Home.
Mr. Edwards was born November 7, 1921 in Duncan, Oklahoma.
Muzzey served our country in World War II, earning thirteen Battle Stars in combat in North Africa and Europe. When he returned home, he followed his father’s lead and began work in the oil fields of west Texas. Over his career as a drilling consultant he worked in over 10 countries in South America, Africa, Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, with his loving wife, Dorothy, by his side.
He was preceded in death by his son, James Edwards; sister, Marie Mangrum; and brother, Bobby Edwards, father Jasper Edwards and mother Ada Edwards.
Survivors: Muzzey is survived by his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Edwards; son, Kenneth J Edwards, Jr. and his wife Natalie; daughter, Norma Gene Bartholomew and her Husband, Bruce Gavin; sister, La Costa Ivey, and 5 grandchildren; Marie Edwards, Timothy Edwards, Kevin Edwards, Donald Sparks, and Michael Sparks, 5 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren
