GLEN ROSE — GLEN ROSE — Kenneth M. Hopson, age 85, passed away in his home in Glen Rose, Texas Monday, October 12, 2015.
Service: 2:00 P.M., Saturday, October 17, 2015 at Wiley Funeral Home Chapel in Glen Rose.
Interment: Nancy Smith Cemetery in Somervell County.
Visitation: 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Friday at the funeral home.
Kenneth was born in Texas on March 17, 1930 to Jess Hopson and Effie Wheeler. Kenneth loved to blow the train whistle. He attended the Citizens Service Center of Glen Rose. He loved to meet new people and visit with people regarding the history of the county.
Kenneth will be greatly missed by his children, grandchildren, great grandchildren, family, and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Marie Rhodes, Billie Underwood, Rita Jo Shipman; brother, Dennis Hopson; daughter, Patsy Mashaw, and grandson, Justin Mashaw.
Survivors: Sons, Johnny Hopson of Fort Worth and Larry Cohron of Granbury; grandsons, Jarred Hopson and Jonathan Hopson of Boca Raton, Florida, Joshua Cohron of Plano, Jody Cohron of Stephenville, and Chad Mashaw of Granbury; three great grandchildren, Macie, Brice and Jase Mashaw; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
