Kenneth Wayne Stanford
September 2, 1935 – December 16, 2015
Kenneth Wayne Stanford of Granbury, Texas died December 16, 2015 at the age of 80 while visiting family.
He was born September 2, 1935 to Glen and Cuyler Stanford in Stamford, Texas. He was raised and went to school in Lueders, Texas.
He married Carolyn Bennett on July 29, 1958. He served in the Army and worked for the Bureau of Mines Helium Activity in Amarillo, Texas until his retirement. They moved to Granbury and became a member of the Lakeside Baptist Church. They are blessed with countless friends from their church and community.
He made a mean pulled pork, a great buttermilk pie and a “world famous” bread pudding. He could feed 40 or more at the drop of a hat and did on more occasions than can be remembered. They even had a neon “open” sign that hung at the porch of the house facing the 5th fairway of the Nutcracker golf course in Pecan Plantation.
He is survived by his wife, Carolyn Stanford, of 57 years. His children Kendall Stanford of Little Rock, Arkansas, Kent Stanford and his wife Jane, of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Kynell Brown and her husband Doug of Granbury, Texas. His grand children and great grand children Brandi and David Paulson and their children, Tegan and Kenley. Whitney and Lucas Lopez and their children Payton and Paxton. Emily Stanford and Annie Mueller and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents and his sister.
