Kerry Wayne “Slick” Wright, 68, passed away after a short illness surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, December 29 in Fort Worth.

Memorial Service: 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Anne’s Church.
Visitation: 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Biggers Funeral Home.

Kerry grew up in Smithfield and was a graduate of Richland High School. He retired from TXU after a 38-year career, most of which was spent working at the Eagle Mountain Power Plant. Kerry then contracted back to TXU travelling with the Testing Group to power plants across Texas. He was currently employed at JPS Hospital in Fort Worth as a power plant mechanic.
Nothing was more important to Kerry than his family, they were always his priority. He had the most infectious smile, and loved to laugh, especially at his own jokes. Kerry never met a stranger and would be the first one available to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Kerry was preceded in death by his father, Roy Wayne Wright; mother, Mary Louise Graham Wright; and siblings, Larry Wayne Wright, Troy Dale Wright and Darla Wright Beck.

Survivors: Wife of 37 years, Linda Boutelle Wright; son, Wesley Wayne Wright and wife, Susie Harrell Wright and Matthew Aaron Wright; grandchildren, Karli and Connor; sisters, Sheri Wright Daigle and Marla Wright Sones; and many extended family members and close friends

Slick was a co-worker and friend , he was a good man and will be missed . I worked with him at EMSES and on the road testing power plants - I still have his 84 Chevy pick up .

Lived across the street from Kerry when we were kids. Spent many of nights in the Wright household as me and Sheri were best friends growing up and still are. Loved all the Wright kids, they were like my own siblings in away. We will miss you Kerry.
