Kim Lynn Mason, 63, of Granbury, Texas went to be with her Lord Jesus Christ on Sunday, June 9, 2019 after a long battle with Multiple Myeloma. Visitation will be this Friday, June 14th at Wiley Funeral home, located at 400 E. Hwy. 377, Granbury, Texas. Funeral Service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, June 15th at Oak Trail Baptist Church located at 4501 Peppertree Rd. in Granbury, with long time friend, Brother Domingo Guerra officiating. Burial will be at Bowman Cemetery near Wichita Falls, Texas on Monday, June, 17, 2019.
Kim was born in Fort Worth, Texas to Shirley (Raulston) Calaway and Harris Edwyne Calaway on July 10, 1955. She graduated Rider High School in Witchita Falls, Texas in 1973. She was a loving daughter, wife, mother and grandmother. Kim touched many lives in the 23 years she dedicated to Granbury I.S.D. as an aide on Special Needs buses and most recently, as a security guard at the high school. She loved being a part of the students’ journey, always willing to listen, admonish and cheer the kids on. Kim was loved by her family, friends, co-workers and students.
Kim loved her Lord most of all. She loved gospel music, building friendships, and especially enjoyed Bible studies with her pastor, Brother John Hawkins and Brother Mike Reuterskold. Although life was difficult for her these last years, Kim never wavered in her desire to share Christ with everyone she met.
Kim is preceded in death by her father, and grandparents Lillian and Artis Raulston and Carl and Myrtle Pearl Hall.
Kim is Survived by her mother, Shirley Calaway; her brother, Malcolm (and Juanita) Calaway; three sons, John Davidson (and Grace), Justin Mason (and Liz), and Jimmy Mason. Other surviving family include her Uncle Jim (and friend, Sherry) Calaway; grandchildren, Logan Davidson, Lilly Davidson, Brennan Davidson, Destiny Young, John Young, Annabeth Stone, Ella Stone and various cousins and extended family.
