If you have specific memories, stories, impressions, or pictures of Lanny please email them to lanny@thacker.co (not .com). We’d love to see and hear about it all—his faith, sense of humor, friendliness, enjoyments, kindness, competitive nature etc… Anything to help us as we mourn and remember our sweet Lanny boy. If you have already shared these types of things on Facebook it would be appreciated if you’d email them to be sure we have them.
Lanny was born on May 27, 2004 in Grapevine, Texas to Shane and Chyrese Thacker. He was a full-on, tell it like it is, fun-loving boy who loved baseball, BMX biking, music, guns, legos, ranching, hunting, fishing, and so much more. He was a great son, big brother, grandson, cousin, nephew and an encouraging friend. He looked after others and was quick to defend them when in need. Most importantly his faith was evidenced by his resolute confidence in Jesus Christ for his salvation, his gratitude for God’s fatherly care, and his love for others.
Lanny was survived by his parents: Shane and Chyrese Thacker, siblings, Lauren, Leah, Lucas, and Lilly, grandparents: David and Pam Thacker, Donna and Joe Kempf, Keith and Rhonda Debault, and Julie and Lee Jenkins, great grandparents, Bobbie Simon, David and Carolyn Boyd, and Freddie Debault, aunts and uncles, Cliff and Michelle Thacker, Lange and Molly Debault, Shannon and Damon Gray, Blake and Krista Debault, Will Payne, Preston Debault, Christy and Chad Arrington, K’Lee and Eric Reynolds, Ansley Jenkins, and many cousins and extended family.
