Larry Edward Nunn, a loving husband and father, passed away Thursday, July 16, 2015, at the age of 68. He has joined our heavenly Father after a brave three-year battle with cancer. Heaven has gained a special person who was always willing to build, create, help and care for others. Larry touched many lives with his kindness, love and generosity.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday in Biggers Funeral Chapel. Committal will be at 3:30 p.m. in Plainview Cemetery in Krum. The family will receive friends from 9:30 a.m. until service time.
Larry was born in Fort Worth on January 22, 1947, and grew up in Azle. He graduated from Azle High School and attended Tarrant County College. Larry honorably served in the United States Army and was a Vietnam veteran. During his service Larry was awarded a Silver Star and three Bronze Stars. He worked at American Cyanamid and later at Lockheed Martin until he retired in 2012. In his spare time, Larry was an avid fisherman and enjoyed working on, collecting and showing classic cars.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Margie Gilley Tinsley.
Larry is survived by his wife of 31 years, Wilma Taylor Nunn; his children, Christina and Daniel Jackson; his brother, Michael Schmitt; nephews, Christopher Schmitt, Mathew Brinkley and Ray Brooks Jr.; as well as numerous loving family members and friends.
