LIPAN — Larry M. Parks, 69, passed away Thursday, May 15, 2014, in Granbury.
Funeral: 4:00 p.m. Sunday, May 18, 2014, at Allison Baptist Church in Lipan. Burial: Evergreen Cemetery in Lipan. Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Saturday at Wiley Chapel in Lipan.
Larry was born Oct. 11, 1944, in Carrolton, Ga., to Bill and Acel Bowen Parks. He married Annetta Woodruff, Sept. 20, 1963, in Lipan. Larry has been a resident of Lipan for 59 years and was a graduate of Lipan High School. Larry was saved at the age of 13 at Allison Baptist Church. He was a member of Local 798 of Pipeline Union. Larry enjoyed spending time with his family. He was a very doting father and grandfather. Preceding him in death were his parents and a brother, Dwight Parks.
Survivors: Wife, Annetta Parks of Lipan; son, Jeff Parks of Lipan; daughters, Julie Parks and Nikki Parks, both of Granbury; grandchildren, Logan Weems, Mitchell Parks and McKenna Parks, all of Granbury; sister, Barbara Byrom and husband, Dale, of Lipan; brothers, Billy Parks and wife, Vinceen, of Lipan, Tim Parks of Lipan; and several nieces and nephews.
