LIPAN — Larue “Doodle” Tankersley, 76, passed away Thursday, Mar. 24, 2016, in Granbury.
The family will hold services at a later date.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Lipan Cowboy Church Building Fund.
Larue was born Aug. 24, 1939, in Mambrino, to John and Sally Hayworth Jones. She married R.F. Tankersley, Aug. 24, 1957, in Granbury. Larue loved her family and especially spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was prededed in death by her parents, husband and son, John Tankersley.
Survivors: Son, Charles Tankersley and wife, Brenda; daughter, Rayna Southerland and husband, Roy; grandchildren, Wes Jackson and wife, Melonie, Lana Eisenwine and husband, Mike, Andrea Jackson, Leeya Davis, Brennan Davis, Bryant Tankersley, Shelby Tankersley, Jonathan Tankersley; and six great grandchildren.
