Laverne Marshall Blackwell passed away January 19, 2017 at the age of 93.

Graveside service: 2:00 PM, Saturday, January 21, 2017, Rowe Cemetery, Hedley, Texas.

Laverne was born in Hamlin, Texas on May 24, 1923. She made her home in Granbury, Texas.  She was formerly of Amarillo and the White Deer area.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Huey Lee Blackwell and two sons: Dwight and Lee Neal, and a brother Lewis (Bud) Marshall.

Laverne is survived by four sisters: Verna Lee Auston of Jefferson, Lillian Willey of Glen Rose, Virgie Parker of Ft. Worth, and Dorothy (Dink) Walker of Crowley and numerous nieces and nephews.
