GRANBURY — Lena Pruitt, 95, passed away on Thursday, April 21, 2016, in Granbury, Texas.
Graveside service: 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 24, 2016, at Thorp Spring Cemetery, Granbury.
Lena was born on November 26, 1920 in Meeks, Texas to Enoch and Lelia Scarbrough. She married Steve Pruitt on January 19, 1935 and in 1944 they moved to Granbury. In 1983 Lena started taking care of children in her home and continued to do so until she turned 80 years old. She was a great seamstress and had a beautiful garden and yard. Lena will be greatly missed by her family and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, brothers and sisters.
Survivors: Daughters, Joyce and Don Carver and Darlene Pruitt and Dan Miller; grandchildren, Chris and Cindy Parkinson, Ricky Don and Pam Carver, Derek Parkinson, Kai and Leah Parkinson and Kalen and Ed Hess; 14 great grandchildren, Chance, Cache, Callen, Wes, Whit, April, Brooke, Josh, Mahlia, Rani, Jakob, Kolin, Derian and Keenan; 8 great great grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
