GRANBURY — Leslie “Buddy” Green, 83, passed away Friday, Nov. 13, 2015, in Granbury.
Service: At Buddy’s request there will be no service; however, a celebration of life with friends and family will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to VFW 7835, American Legion 491 or the Wounded Warriors.
Buddy was born Oct. 21, 1932, in Newark. He proudly served his country in the Army 1952-1955. He moved to Granbury in 1997 after retiring from the Euless Fire Department as a battalion chief with 26 years served. He enjoyed traveling, camping and bragging about the big catfish he caught. He also coached girls’ softball for 11 years.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Leslie and Jewell Green, and sister, Earlene Hachtel.
Survivors: Wife of 60 years, Virginia; daughter, Gaye Lynn; son, Michael Green; sister, Dora Brown; brothers, Beryal Green, Jim Green, Chris Green; and numerous nieces and nephews.
