Linda Darlene Thorne, 65, passed away Wednesday Feb. 4, 2015.

A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Humane Society of North Texas.

Linda was born December 16, 1949 in Des Moines, Iowa. She moved to Texas at age 16 and lived in Fort Worth throughout her life. She had a generous heart and loved her many animals over the years. Her co-workers were like a second family who meant so much to her. Her weekends were consumed by the Dallas Cowboys. Linda was preceded in death by her husband Jesse.

Survivors include her mother, Eleanor Monahan of Fort Worth; brother, Jim Monahan and wife Jane of Fort Worth; sister, Kathy Monahan of Weatherford; son, Michael Bumpus of Seattle, Wash.; nephew, Ryan Monahan of Houston; grandchildren including Brittany Bumpus and Josh Bumpus of Seattle, WA; and her faithful companion, Muffin.
