Linda Vay Vermillion, 66, passed away September 26, 2021 in Granbury, Texas. A celebration of life will be held at Bob’s Off the Square, located at 106 N. Lambert St. Granbury, Texas, 76048 on October 23rd, from 4pm to 6pm. In lieu of flowers or other condolence gifts the family asks for donations in Linda’s name be made to Erath County Humane Society.
Linda was born November 2, 1954 in Geneva, New York to Lawrence Fallon and Lois Trimmer. Linda was an avid animal lover, rescued countless animals, and volunteered at local animal hospitals. She was a Registered Veterinary Technician beforebecoming a Registered Nurse and completing her Bachelor’s degree at Tarleton State University. A single mother at the time, she put herself through nursing school. She was a dedicated, passionate nurse who advocated for her patients. Linda was an overall hard worker in everything she did. She loved watching her nature and crime shows. She was Trekkie (Star Trek Fan) to the core, passing that on to her children. She never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a hand. She was colorfuland vibrant. She lived her life by her own terms.
Linda was preceded in death by her parents Lawrence and Lois Fallon.
Linda is survived by her husband: Kelly Petty; children: Richard Clarke, Malynda Dickinson and husband Fred; grandchildren: Keith, Emma, Josh, Bryan, Faith, Arya, Richard; siblings: Lee Fallon and Leslie Lane; niece: Olivia Shirley; nephews: Brian Caviness, David Caviness, and Matthew Lane.
