Lois June Neely, 94, passed away Sunday, November 20, 2016 in Granbury, Texas.
Service: 10:00 AM, Thursday, December 1, 2016, Wiley Funeral Home Chapel
Interment: 11:00 AM, Thursday, Stroud Creek Cemetery, Tolar, Texas
Visitation: 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM, Wednesday, Wiley Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy can be made in the form of donations to the Granbury First United Methodist Church Building Fund or Stroud Creek Cemetery, Tolar, Texas.

Lois June Neely was born on June 14, 1922 in Ozona, Texas to the late A.F. and Olivia (Harrison) Joslin; she was the oldest of three children. She finished High School in Odessa, Texas and continued her education at Sul Ross State College. Lois worked for the Odessa Newspaper and at Odessa–Midland Army Air Field, as well as worked in legal and accounting offices. She married John C. Neely of Tolar, Texas in 1948 in Odessa. They lived in Odessa, Amarillo, Kansas City, Albuquerque and South Lake during John’s 29 years with Frito- Lay Corporation. They finally retired to Granbury in 1981 and enjoyed their home on the Lake. Lois and John were members of the Granbury First United Methodist Church for 35 years and were very active there for many years. She never met a stranger, enjoyed people and life, and loved to play bridge and entertain at home. She was preceded in death by husband John in 2013 and her two brothers.
Lois is survived by son Bob Neely of Tolar and his Special Friend, Dolores Larson, as well as many nieces and nephews. The family wishes to thank the staffs of Harbor Lakes Nursing Home, Interim Hospice, Community Personal Care and Dr. Randall Barnes for their caring help.
