Lou was born June 1, 1935, in Eldorado, Texas, to Ray Edward Alexander and Lula Mae Bruton Alexander. She married Jerry Thompson, Dec. 4, 1954, in Eldorado. She had lived in Granbury since 1996 and was a member of First United Methodist Church. Lou was a retired transcriptionist for Lea Regional Medical Center in Hobbs, N.M. She was once awarded “Woman of the Year” by the American Business Woman’s Association. She enjoyed playing bridge. Preceding her in death were her parents and a brother, James Alexander.
Survivors: Husband, Jerry Thompson of Granbury; sons, Tracy Thompson and wife, Becky, of Plano, Casey Thompson and wife, Velia, of Cypress, Jamie Thompson and wife, Kelley, of Flower Mound; and six grandchildren.
