Lyndell Lockett

GRANBURY — On Friday, Feb. 19, 2016, in the cab of his favorite tractor, Lyndell Lockett passed on to the arms of his Heavenly Father and Lord Jesus Christ.
Service: 10 a.m. Wednesday at Granbury Church of Christ.
Interment: Granbury Cemetery.
Visitation: 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Wiley Funeral Home.
Memorials: Granbury Church of Christ.
Lyndell was well known and loved by so many friends, acquaintances, business leaders and … never met a stranger. He was mainly known for his huge smile, huge heart and huge hugs. His love for the land and his family was unquestioned. He will be missed, but, we are sure he will be welcomed into heaven and into the arms of his wife, Helen; brother, Alton; and other loved ones and friends that have gone on ahead of him. He was our John Wayne.
Survivors: Lyndell, a proud Korean War veteran and native Texan, is survived by his daughters, Kim Lockett Pendry and Lisa Lockett Briggs; son-in-law, Bob Pendry; his grandchildren, Taylor Briggs and Wesley and Zachary Pendry; brother-in-law, Bill Armistead and sister-in-law, Barbara Armitstead; sister-in-law, Genell Lockett Holland and her daughter, Vickie Robert, and son, Dana Lockett.
