M Brice McRee, 73, passed away on Thursday, December 10, 2020 in Fort Worth, Texas.
Graveside Service: 2:30 pm Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Dido Cemetery.
Visitation: 9 am to 1:30 pm Sunday, December 13, 2020 at Biggers Funeral Home in Fort Worth.
Memorials: Donations in Brice’s memory can be made to Tarrant County Meals on Wheels or Fort Worth United Methodist Mission.
Brice was born September 19, 1947 in Dimmitt, TX to Millard Fillmore and Esther Luella (Weems) McRee. He graduated from Dimmitt High School in 1966 and went on to West Texas State University from where he graduated in 1970.
He spent 30 years in the grain industry mostly in the Texas Panhandle then settled in Fort Worth where he transitioned into the finance industry.
Brice had a deep love and appreciation of country music and sports ran a close second. He was a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church. He enjoyed serving the church in various ways, including the FUMC Mission in Fort Worth. More recently, he enjoyed helping with deliveries for Meal on Wheels. Brice never met a stranger and had many enduring friendships.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father; sisters, Thelda Lang and Connie Barrington.
He leaves behind his three children, Heather and Randy Wright of Lubbock, Heidi and Jon Vigil of Albuquerque and Mel and Kristen McRee of Lubbock; six beloved granddaughters; a sister, Marilyn Durbin and brother, Burris McRee.
He was also blessed with a second family; his longtime companion, Deborah Sayers; her daughter Deanna Cartwright; her sons, Marek Sayers, Kyle Sayers, Fritz Sayers; eight grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
