Margaret Ann Sherrill, 81, was reunited in heaven with her beloved husband, Dudley, Wednesday, June 15, 2016, after a courageous battle with breast cancer. She was surrounded with the love and presence of her two daughters and sister.
A graveside service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, June 18, in Mount Olivet Cemetery. The family will be present to receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Ann’s name to the Silver Creek United Methodist Church Building Fund.
Ann met the love of her life, Dudley Sherrill, and they married April 22, 1959. They were blessed with two daughters. Ann was devoted to her family and took great pride and pleasure in creating a nurturing and happy home for them. She was a loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.
Ann lived her life with faith, dignity, grace, and strength. She is remembered for her kindness to others.
The family would like to express its heartfelt appreciation to the staff and residents of Eagle Crest Villa for their kindness, loving care and friendships towards Ann; and a special thank you for the compassionate care-giving from Sarah, Amy and August with Covenant Hospice, and from the helpful aides of Agape Home Care.
Ann was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years and her parents.
She is survived by her daughters, LeAnn Quick (Ron), Cynthia Puckett (Tim); five grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Joy Slaughter.
