Marilyn L. Dempsey, 80, passed away at home, Wednesday, September 2, 2015. Graveside service will be 10:00 a.m. Saturday, September 5, 2015 at Post Oak Cemetery in Glen Rose TX. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Friday, September 4, 2015 at the funeral home.
Marilyn was born May 4, 1935 in Amarillo, TX to Louie and Alice McMullin. Marilyn enjoyed playing Bingo and Penny Slots. She knitted and crocheted, making blankets for her children and grandchildren. She adored her dog, Missy. Marilyn was preceded in death by her husband of 32 years, Archie Watson then husband of 20 years, Charles K. Dempsey and her parents.
Marilyn leaves behind her children Linda Kramer and husband Ken of Fort Worth, Brenda Schoener and husband David of Trophy Club, Christi Walters and husband Scott of Fort Worth, Susan Johnson and husband Randel of Granbury, Lola Taylor and husband Bill of WA, Jean McGrew and husband Bart of Granbury, Paul Dempsey of Burnet; 14 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and sister Carole “Sue” Quinton and husband Harold of NM.
