GRANBURY — Marshall R. Lyon, 91, a retired Dallas firefighter, passed away Saturday, Nov. 1, 2014, in Granbury.
Graveside service: Was at 2 p.m. Monday in Oak Grove Memorial Cemetery in Irving.
Mr. Lyon was born Sept. 11, 1923, in Irving to Park D. Lyon and Lou A. Fann Lyon. He married Elizabeth A. Meadows on Feb. 7, 1947, in Irving. He proudly served in the U.S. Army Air Corps during World War II. Marshall was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church in Mineola.
Preceding him in death were his parents; wife, Elizabeth A. Lyon, in 2007; brother, Morgan Lyon; and stepfather, Ralph Barr.
Survivors: Daughters, Melanie Humphrey and husband, Ronnie, of DeCordova, Candice Lyon of Granbury; son, Mark Lyon and wife, Kelly, of Coppell; grandchildren, Ashley Lyon, Adam Lyon; great-granddaughter, Brenna Lyon; sister-in-law, Janice Meadows of Winnsboro; brother-in-law, Joe E. Meadows of Corinth; and cousin, Martha Blalock of Tyler.
