Wayne was born on April 25, 1943 in Slaton, Texas to the late D.B. and Elva Nash. He grew up in Weatherford where he graduated from Weatherford High School and lived in Glen Rose for most of his adult life.
Wayne retired from Lockheed Martin after almost 35 years of service as a security supervisor. He was very active in the Glen Rose community, serving on the school board and coaching various little league teams while his children attended Glen Rose ISD. Wayne will be remembered as “Coach” by the youth he inspired through the years, as well as for his sense of humor and his generous nature. He was preceded in death by his beloved son, Brandy, and his parents D.B. and Elva Nash.
Wayne is survived by his daughter Deanna Nash and her husband Mark Francis, daughter Destry Nash-Coker and her husband Chris Coker, grandchildren Tanner Wayne Brownen and Bryse MaKena Brownen, sister Donna King and her husband Jim King, Nephew Clay Tidwell and his wife Jolee Tidwell, great-niece Shelbi Tidwell, many loving cousins, and his loyal friend and fur-baby, Skippy.
