GRANBURY — Marvin James Nelson, 71, passed away Thursday, Apr. 17, 2014, in Granbury.
Cremation arrangements are under the direction of Wiley Funeral Home. Services will be held at a later date.
Marvin was born Sept. 22, 1942, in Jamestown, N.D., to Ole and Lena Beauton Nelson. He married Annette Vago, Nov. 18, 1981, in Las Vegas, Nev. Marvin served in the U.S. Army from 1965 to 1971. He was a graduate of N.D. State University and worked for Burlington Northern Railroad. He enjoyed gardening, golf and most of all his family. He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors: Wife, Annette Nelson of Granbury; sons, Randall Lawson of Granbury, Daniel Lawson of Euless, James Lawson and wife, Cherie, of Watauga; grandchildren, Natalie Lawson and Jayden Lawson; brother, Al Nelson and wife, Laurell, of Fargo, N.D.; sisters, Inez Olsen of Fargo, N.D., Irene Myers of Oakes, N.D.; and several nieces and nephews.
