Our first memory of Marvin and Fran is at the Louisiana HOG rally we attended in Lafayette with the chapter. We invited them to dinner at a famous local restaurant, Mulatte's, in Breaux Bridge. We enjoyed Marvin's stories about their riding adventures and got to know them both over our dinner conversation. Marvin will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with Fran and the family.

We enjoyed Marvin's stories of their riding adventures and got to know both of them better thru our dinner conversation. Marvin was the very best cousin you could have. He and Fran helped me fix up an old house and build a barn. All as family. Would not let me pay him. What a wonderful man.

I remember meeting Marvin and Fran for the first time on a windy motorcycle ride to Archer City in March 2005. I had just casually seen them at some Chapter activities. They were riding behind my wife and I for 50-60 miles. We were fairly new to group riding and apparently didn't know some of the signals. We stopped at a rest stop and Fran came running up to us shouting "What do you keep pointing to on the road??" My wife kept shaking her foot out to the side and little did we know but that meant that there was something in the road the riders behind needed to miss!! Fran was really letting us know that we were doing wrong. Marvin came up and quieted her down and said that we were new folks and would learn. We became very good friends after that and rode together many times. Popeye was always the peacemaker, a very kind man with a little gruff look. I missed seeing them when they left for their travels. I will miss Marvin greatly!!
