MARY ANN PREWITT

On Saturday, November 10, 2018, Mary Ann, loving wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away in Granbury, TX at the age of 73.

Mary Ann was born on April 12, 1945 in Baytown, TX to Louis C. and Annie Lee Kelley. She graduated from Crane High School in 1963 and received her Bachelor’s degree in Home Economics from Texas Tech University in 1967. On August 28, 1965, she married Ronald H. Prewitt. Together they raised a son and daughter, Flint and Angie.

Mary Ann had a passion for quilting and loved to sing. She enjoyed traveling and spending time with her husband of 53 years, Ron, whom she met in grade school. She especially loved visiting the beach at South Padre Island. Mary Ann was blessed with a wonderful sense of humor and wit, was outgoing, and made friends quickly. She was a member of the Granbury Church of Christ.

Mary Ann was preceded in death by her parents, Louis C. and Annie Lee Kelley. She is survived by her husband Ron; her son, Flint and his wife, Elizabeth; her daughter Angie; and six grandchildren, Grace, Sammy, Faith, Lucy, Lyla, and Buck.
She is also survived by her sister, Nancy and husband Jack Seeds.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, November 16th, 2018 at the Granbury Church of Christ, 1905 W. Pearl St, Granbury, TX at 12:00 noon. Wiley Funeral Home (817-573-3000) is assisting with arrangements.

We met MaryAnn, Ron, Flint in 1969 at church in Denver when Ron and Charles started their professional careers. Little did I know that our friendship would survive the test of time with moves across the country. There is so much I could say about our friendship, but what bonded our friendship was our love of our families. Family was everything to her. They reaped the benefits of her many talents from her guilts to her amazing poundcake, pies and pride in all of them. She so loved her grandchildren. Buck was her bonus baby that delights her so these last couple of years. She left them an amazing legacy. I pray that all of you, especially Ron, Flint and Angie will find peace and comfort in knowing she gave her best to you always and is singing with the angels in heaven today. I will forever miss her.
