Mary Elizabeth Bell

Mary Elizabeth Bell, 98, passed away Wednesday, October 28, 2015 in Glen Rose. A funeral service will be Sunday, November 1, 2015 at 3:00 p.m. at the Wiley Funeral Chapel in Glen Rose with interment at Glen Rose Cemetery. A visitation will be from 2:00 to 3:00 p.m. before the service Sunday. In lieu of flowers, please send memorials to the First United Methodist Church of Glen Rose.
Mary was born September 12, 1917 in Glen Rose to Joe and Myrtle Knight Buzan who were also natives of Somervell County. The only girl of 4 children, Mary’s interests were cooking, decorating and homecrafts. She married James “Harry” Bell in 1938. Together they enjoyed winters in McAllen and fishing. Mary was an avid gardener. Mary was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Glen Rose, the WSCS – Methodist Women Society of Christian Service, Home Demonstration Club and a Sunday school teacher. She was preceded in death by her husband of 69 years, Harry; her parents and her brothers Dan, Harold and Jack Buzan.
Mary leaves behind her daughter Rosemary Jobe and husband David of Bedford; grandchildren Melanie Shelton and husband Scott of Colleyville, Amanda Jobe of Dallas; great grandchildren Katya Piekarski, Holden Piekarski, and Graham Shelton; nieces and nephews Brenda Ransom of Glen Rose, Joel Buzan of Graford, Doug Buzan of Weatherford, Jacque Biery of Graford and Maxine Cooper of Fort Worth.
