DECORDOVA — Mary F. Fowler, 90, passed away Sunday, Aug. 2, 2015, at her DeCordova residence.
Memorial service: 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 7, 2015, at Acton United Methodist Church.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Acton United Methodist Church Benevolence Fund.
Mrs Fowler was born Apr. 17, 1925, in Abilene, Texas, to H.P. and Ida L. Johnson Herring. She married Joe Will Fowler, Mar. 8, 1945, in Santa Anna, Texas. She had lived in DeCordova since 1977 and was a member of Acton United Methodist Church. Mary taught school in Rockwood, Texas. She was a member of the DeCordova Womens Golf Association and the bridge club. She enjoyed sewing, knitting and quilting. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Survivors: Husband of 70 years, Joe W. Fowler of DeCordova; sons, Joe Fowler and wife, Dee Dee, of Adair, Okla., Jeff Fowler and husband, Tony, of Bedford; six grandchildren; and eight great grandchildren.
