Mary Lou Haughn, 80, passed away Tuesday, November 21, 2017, at a local hospital of heart failure.
Memorial Service: 2 p.m. Saturday, December 2, 2017, at Legacy Baptist Church, 5500 Boat Club Road, Fort Worth, Texas, 76135.
Mary was born in Verden, Oklahoma, October 25, 1937, later moving to Wichita Falls, then to Fort Worth for the remainder of her life. She loved her work and talking with people. She loved her friends, church family, family, having fun, laughing, cooking, and eating.
Mary worked for the Star-Telegram from 1978-2001 when she retired and later returned part time until 2011 working initially in circulation then in the finance department.
Mary was preceded in death by her brothers, Kenneth McCoy of California, Lee McCoy of Wichita Falls, Bob McCoy of Fort Worth; and nephew, Larry McCoy of Oklahoma.
Survivors: Nephews, Robert McCoy of Fort Worth, Donald McCoy of Reno, Jimmy McCoy of Cisco, Randy McCoy of Houston, and Monty McCoy of Wichita Falls; great-nieces, LeAnne Harrison of Fort Worth and Melanie and Renee McCoy of Houston; great-nephews, Lloyd McCoy of Arlington, Jeremy McCoy of Fort Worth, Rick Weatherly of Weatherford, and Kodie Tonihka of Oklahoma; great-great-nephews, Jacob and Ryan Sykes of Fort Worth and Jayson Christian of Arlington; long-term friend of over 35 years, Carolyn Reaves of Fort Worth; and a host of additional friends.
