Mary Sue Lewis Bolton was born January 14, 1938 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma to parents Jesse L Lewis and Mary Edna Williams Lewis. Mary Sue graduated Granbury High School in 1956 and on August 8th that same year, she married the love of her life, Royce E Bolton. Their first date was an Elvis Presley Concert in Fort Worth at the Stockyards.
Mary Sue owned Jean’s Crossing clothing store in Granbury for 27 years. She was a very successful entrepreneur and was very proud of that! She loved her store and loved all things about fashion. Mary Sue loved more than anything to work in her yard. In the spring and early summer, her backyard looked like a tropical oasis because of her green thumb. She loved fishing and camping and she and Royce had some fish fries that were remarkable, and people would talk about them for years to come. Mary Sue loved cooking and baking and made the best chicken and dressing in all of Hood County. She loved life in general, loved reading and loved going to church. The one thing that she loved the most was listening to her daughter Cindy, and granddaughter Lauren, sing.
Mary Sue is survived by her husband of 64 years, Royce E Bolton, daughter Dani Bolton Morriss and husband Vic, son Tim Bolton and wife Amie, sister Barbara Lewis Darr and husband Ferris, granddaughter Lauren Morton and fiancé Steve Stone, grandsons Josh Morton, Jeremy Bolton, and Garrett Bolton, great grandsons Caden Morton and Rhett Morton, and numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.
Mary Sue was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Mary Edna Lewis, her brother Delbert Lewis and her daughter Cindy Bolton Morton (who was married to Mark Morton).
A Celebration of Life will be held for her at a later time to be announced by the Family.
