Maxine Frances Off

On July 17, 2016, Maxine Frances Off, 80, went to be with her Lord and Savior.
Mrs. Off was born on December 13, 1935, in Beaumont, Texas. She served as a secretary at First Baptist Church Dallas then as administrative assistant for Rev. BO Baker at Plymouth Park Baptist Church Irving.
She worked closely with her husband Joseph Off in his various business endeavors. After retirement, Maxine and Joe moved to Granbury, Texas, where they were active members of First Baptist Church Granbury. Mrs. Off continued to live in Granbury until December 2012 when she moved to Allen to be closer to her daughter.
Maxine was all things Texas and America. She loved God, her husband and children, and the Great State of Texas and the United States of America. She loved to paint. Her favorite subjects were flowers, especially Blue Bonnets, and old churches. Her kind, gracious nature touched the hearts of everyone around her.
She is preceded in death by her husband Joseph Off and her parents Max and Irma Gaudet.
She is survived by her daughter Delinda Dudley of Allen, two sons, Michael Off and Walter Off, both of California; granddaughter, Meghan Off, of Chicago; brother, Charlie Gaudet, of Port Acres, Texas; sister, Susan Gaudet, of China, Texas; brother- and sister-in-law, Roger and Joan Off, of Columbus, Ohio; and a host of family and friends.
Services are 2:00 PM, Friday, July 22, 2016, at First Baptist Church in Granbury. Burial will be at Holly Hills Memorial Park. Visitation is Thursday evening from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Wiley Funeral Home in Granbury. Wiley Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
The family suggests memorials be made to First Baptist Granbury or St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital.
