Merline C. Rutledge (Miz Shorty) passed away Monday, Oct. 26, 2014 at her home in Granbury.
Graveside service: 1:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 30, 2014 at Holly Hills Memorial Park.
Merline was born to Dewey Lee and Minnie Velda Davis Sistrunk in Converse, LA. on March 16, 1923. She had lived in Granbury since 1972, was a waitress for many years and a member of the American Legion Post 491 in Granbury for 20 plus years.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Delbert Vern Rutledge.
Survivors: daughter, Pat and husband Gene Hanson; son, Carlus and wife Linda Nelson; brother, T.J. and wife Christine Sistrunk; one niece, one grandaughter, two grandsons, three nephews and special friends, Janice and Pam.
