Michael “Mike” Wayne Kaker of Fort Worth passed away Sunday, November 4, 2018 at the age of 57.
Services: A private family service will be held Friday.
Memorials: In lieu of flowers, the family requests you donate to your favorite charity or to Saginaw Methodist Church in Michael’s name.
Michael was born on March 4, 1961 in Fort Worth to Howard and Betty Kaker. He attended and graduated Austin College in 1983 and then continued his education in 2017, earning his Master’s Degree from Tarleton State University. Mike’s first son, Eric was born in 1994. He met and married his wife, Jemmy Kaker, in 2005 and had two children, Emma and Vincent. Mike had a long and highly successful career in computer science, with the last 10 years with Lockheed Martin. A lifelong athlete, Mike was active a variety of sports from basketball to hockey, to cycling to water sports. He loved to plan and build things. He took pride in the shed and stairs that he recently completed, always loving to make things better.
Mike is survived by his wife, Jemmy Kaker, 39; three children, Eric Prochnow, 24 and his wife, Morgan, Emma Kaker, 8 and Vincent Kaker, 5; parents, Howard,79 and Betty Kaker; sisters, Kathy Hacker, 59 and Amy Stum, 49 and her husband, Corry; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and loving friends.
