GRANBURY — Milton L. Aston, 80, passed away Monday, May 5, 2014, at his home.
Services were held Thursday, May 8, 2014.
Milton was born Dec. 14, 1933, in Fort Worth. He grew up in Fort Worth and graduated from Carter Riverside High School and attended Texas Christian University where he majored in geology.
Milton was a proud Eagle Scout and served as first lieutenant in the U.S. Army Signal Corps as company commander of an electronic warfare company stationed at Fort Huachuca, Ariz. He enjoyed 37 years with Texas Instruments and retired as worldwide operations planning manager for TI’s Memory Products Division. Milton had a great sense of humor and a wonderful memory. He was a fine fisherman, a fierce domino player and a great cook. After retiring from TI, Milton enjoyed duplicate bridge and quickly became a life master. He was preceded in death by his older brother, Elwin E. Aston.
Survivors: Milton is survived by his child, Mark Aston (Karen); stepchildren, Greg Thomas (Leslie) and Linda Thomas. He is also survived by his younger brother, Harry Aston (Pat) of Garland; his sister-in-law, Gloria Aston; nieces and nephews; and special friend, Marcia Varel.
