Mitchell Dale Brown, 24, of Granbury, passed away on Saturday, December 8, 2018. A private memorial service will be held to fulfill his wishes. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Mitchell Dale Brown Suicide Prevention, P.O. Box 1512, Granbury, Texas 76048.

Mitchell was born on December 28, 1993 in Dallas, Texas to Dale and Joni Brown. He was a senior at Tarleton State University. He was a compassionate, generous spirit, and cared deeply for those who were less fortunate than himself. Mitchell enjoyed nature and spending time outdoors.

Mitchell is survived by his parents: Dale and Joni Brown, grandparents: John and Janie Hollowell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Roger and Anna Brown of Granbury, Texas, aunt: Lisa Buchanan and husband Rees, uncle: John Hollowell and wife Martha, cousins: Brittney, Grant, Alyssa, Christian and Cameron, the extended Hirschey and Brown families, and many special friends that provided love and support throughout his life.

I remember Mitchell very well as we were neighbors for about 10 years. The kids would play various games many evenings around the cul-de-sac. He and Danielle were good friends and attended the same schools. I am so very saddened to hear of his passing. My deepest condolences to Dale and Joni and the family. He will be missed.

I had Mitchell in my last class at Tarleton. He was in my group for the whole semester. He was quiet most of the time, but when he did have something to say, he would surprise us because he was so smart! He always had a different way of looking at things. My group members and I were devastated to hear about the loss of our team member. We wanted to attend the memorial together. We are keeping his family in our prayers.
