Modesta Diaz, 59, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, of Granbury, went home to be with her Savior on Sunday, August 14, 2022 at her home.

 

Visitation will be held from 10 to 11, Thursday, August 18, 2022, at Granbury Church of God, 1106 Weatherford Highway, in Granbury, Texas.  Funeral services celebrating her life will follow at 11 A.M., Thursday, at the church.  Burial will be private at a later time.

 

Modesta was born on November 12, 1962, in Hamlin, Texas.  She was the daughter of Frank and Olivia Sanchez.  Modesta married Jesus Diaz and together had five children. She enjoyed cooking, reading, and watching movies – particularly the “oldies.”  She was a person of deep faith and was a longtime member of the Granbury Church of God.  Modesta cherished time spent with her family – particularly her children and grandchildren.

 

Modesta is survived by her husband, Jesus; her beloved children, Elva and husband Angel Valle, Sophia Diaz, Jessie Diaz, Olivia and husband Felipe Aguado, and Javier and wife Lacy Ramirez; and by 14 grandchildren; and by her sister, Gloria Sanchez; and by her 19 nieces and nephews.

 

In addition to her parents, Modesta was preceded in death by sisters, Cynthia and Blanche.
