Fort Worth, Texas – Monty B. Giles, 84, a retired computer technician for National Cash Register entered eternal life on December 8, 2021.
Celebration of Life: 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Sunday, January 2, 2022, at the Hidden Garden Event Venue at 8229 Jacksboro Hwy, Lakeside, TX 76135.
Monty was born on June 24, 1937, on the farm in Wise County, TX to Forrest Barkstell Giles and Margaret Montford Giles. He graduated from Lake Worth High School and attended two years at Texas Wesleyan College then had a long career with NCR. He loved family get-togethers where he could spend time with his children, grandchildren, and siblings and enjoyed monthly lunches with high school friends. Monty was an avid hunter and fisherman who loved the outdoors and lived most of his adult life on Eagle Mountain Lake and Lake Worth.
Monty was preceded in death by his parents, Forrest Barkstell Giles and Margaret Montford Giles and granddaughter, Lauren Elizabeth Giles and his beloved bird dog, Tuffy.
Monty is survived by son, Bryan Giles and wife, Elizabeth; daughter, Suzanne Hunt and husband, Robby; grandchildren, Jonathan Giles and wife, Lynne; Presley and Cooper Morgan; his brothers, Dr. Duane Giles and wife, Nancy, Dr. Tommy Giles and wife, Laura; sisters, Joanne Kramer, Dr. Nancy Faigin and Sarah McKenzie and a large extended family.
